WWE issued the following press release to Sports Illustrated earlier today announcing that all performers will be receiving a medical screening for Coronavirus prior to entering the Performance Center. This includes stars who are performing on tonight's episode of NXT on USA. Check out the statement below.
In consultation with WWE Medical Director Dr. Maroon, WWE Associate Medical Director Dr. Dugas and ringside physician Dr. Westerfield, as a best practice and precautionary measure all WWE performers and staff are required to participate in medical screenings prior to entering WWE's training center, which is now operating as a closed set.
Sources also state that WWE has put together several protocols based on guidelines made by the WHO (World Health Organization). They will not be testing superstars who are or asymptomatic, or displaying zero symptoms of the virus.
