WWE superstar Aleister Black responded to a fan on Twitter earlier today who praised his tag team work with Ricochet during the end of their NXT stint. The former NXT champion says that he could not have asked for a better partner than the 31-year old high-flyer, then recalled all of the opponents they faced before getting split-up for a singles-run.

Could not have asked for a better partner to start with. We tried our best to make it work, we are as different in life as in ring & we embraced that and created something fun. Getting in there with guys like the Revival, Bar, USO's, Hardy's etc was an amazing learning curve.

Black and Ricochet were paired together roughly one year ago and won the Dusty Rhodes tag team classic. They went on to challenge the Viking Raiders for the NXT tag team titles at Takeover New York, which served as their final televised matchup for the yellow-and-black brand before their main roster call-up. They continued to work together on Raw, and competed in a fatal-four way bout at WrestleMania 35 for the Raw tag team championship. Check out his tweet below.

Black is set to face AJ Styles at Sunday's Elimination Chamber pay per view. Meanwhile...Ricochet is coming off a devastating loss to Riddick Moss after getting squashed by Brock Lesnar at WWE Super ShowDown.
