Apparently creative control over their characters is one of the key sticking points in the ongoing negotiations between WWE and the tag-team of The Revival -- Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson.
Scott Dawson of the Revival responded to a fan online who praised the WWE's tag division and wondered why the Revival would be unhappy. Dawson states that he it's not about holding gold within the company, but that he and partner Dash Wilder want more creative control for their characters.
He writes, "I'm not asking to be champions. I just want creative control, brotha."

The Revival were reportedly offered $700,000 a year, but turned it down.
They recently trademarked the name to their finishing maneuver "Shatter Machine," which was handled by the same lawyers who represented a number of AEW talents.
Their current contracts are set to expire later this year.
