AEW has added another big man to their already explosive roster.
The promotion announced earlier today that former NJPW, WWE, and TNA star Lance Archer has signed a new deal with the company. Archer previously held the IWGP United States championship, the IWGP tag team championship, and the NWA tag team championship. Both tag title reigns were with partner Davey Boy Smith Jr. Check out his comments on joining AEW from a press release below.
I've been in the business for almost half of my life, but with AEW, I'm setting my sights on the best chapter of my career so far. This company champions the creative, competitive and electrifying environment that I've been waiting for my whole career. No matter where I goŚno matter who steps in front of meŚI'm the one you should be afraid of at AEW.
No current word on when Archer is expected to make his debut. It was reported back in January that he was in serious talks with the company following a big year in NJPW, which included a high-stakes showdown with fellow AEW madman Jon Moxley at the company's biggest show of the year, WrestleKingdom 14.
