AEW superstar and Executive VP Cody Rhodes cut a promo following last night's episode of Dynamite from Atlanta. The American Nightmare, who had just defeated Wardlow inside of AEW's first ever steel cage match in the evening's headliner, told his hometown how much he appreciated them being hard on him during his career. He briefly talks about watching his dad wrestle in Atlanta when he was young, a memory that helped push him into his career in the business.

I didn't know I wanted to be a wrestler, but I knew 'I want to be famous, like he is. When I got into wrestling at 15, when I debuted in 2007, you guys were pretty hard on me. And I can't tell you how much I appreciate you being hard on me, it made me come back week, after week! Somebody asked me earlier if I was going to jump off that cage. In my home town? You bet your ass, I'm jumping off that cage!

Rhodes will go on to face former friend turned bitter rival MJF at the February 29th Revolution pay per view. The show takes place from the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
