The fairy tale return of Adam "Edge" Copeland that started at the WWE Royal Rumble 2020 pay-per-view on Sunday night turned into a nightmare by the end of WWE RAW on Monday night.
The conclusion of this week's edition of WWE RAW saw the former "Rated-RKO" tag-team partner of "The Rated-R Superstar" Randy Orton come to the ring to unleash "The Viper" side of his personality on the WWE Hall Of Fame legend.
Orton would go on to stomp on a steel chair folded around the surgically repaired neck of Edge, starting the build to their expected featured bout at WrestleMania 36 with an emphatic reality-based angle that continued to play out in dramatic fashion for the viewing audience inside the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas after the cameras stopped rolling for Monday's show.
After the show, WWE released special extended footage of the continuation of the angle, which saw Edge get loaded up on a stretcher and taken through the backstage area where fellow WWE Superstars such as Rey Mysterio, R-Truth and Natalya approached him with concerned looks on their faces as he was eventually loaded into a waiting ambulance in the parking lot.
Check out the unseen footage of the continuation of the main event angle from the post-Royal Rumble episode of WWE RAW above.
