Marty Scurll will continue his pursuit of the NWA World's Heavyweight Championship currently held by Nick Aldis, however he will be doing so as a newly contracted Ring Of Honor Wrestling talent.
According to PWInsider.com, "The Villain" Marty Scurll has finally officially signed a new contract with Ring of Honor (ROH).
Along with his new ROH deal, Scurll has taken on lead booking duties for the promotion and was heavily involved in all of the angles during the event in Atlanta, Georgia this weekend, which included an appearance by NWA World's Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis.
The man who previously held the lead booking responsibilities for ROH, Hunter Johnson, will still be in a creative role assisting Scurll. Reports are that it was also Scurll's idea to run the free event in Baltimore, Maryland coming up on February 9th.
Although the specific terms of his new Ring Of Honor contract haven't been released, the talent signings and/or re-signings that ROH has announced in recent months have been multi-year deals.
It is known that the money side of things is good for Scurll with ROH, and that his new contract will allow him to continue his pursuit outside the promotion for the NWA World's Heavyweight Championship, which as noted, is currently held by Aldis, whom "The Villain" confronted during a recent surprise appearance at the NWA Into The Fire pay-per-view (Watch Video Here) and subsequent NWA Powerrr television shows.
