In a recent addition to his Instagram Story, WWE Backstage analyst CM Punk shared what appears to be an internal booking sheet from WWE that shows his originally scheduled match against Triple H at WrestleMania XXX listed.
Punk mentioned in his official Instagram Story that he had been doing some "spring cleaning" when he found the paper that he shared a photo of. He also joked that he bound the bone-chips that were removed from his elbow in 2010 by Dr. Andrews.
The line-up that Punk released is interesting on a couple of levels, as it also shows several additional matches that were originally planned, but never materialized, for the big milestone WrestleMania XXX event from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana back on April 6, 2014.
Punk spoke about his ideal WrestleMania XXX opponent during an August 2013 Comic Con Q&A.
"Here's the interesting thing about this," Punk said during the Comic Con event over six years ago. "I did like four hours of media for SummerSlam on the phone the other day and we got to talking about this, I can't remember with who or from where, but I think I'm the only guy who viably may have four different opponents, possibly."
Punk added, "I could, in my mind. I think I could main event the show with Taker, a rematch. I think I could main event the show against Cena, cause of all our history there. I think if they continue on this path that they're doing with Daniel Bryan I think me and him could main event the show. And then of course there's that old pesky rattlesnake."
