The backstage atmosphere at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York was a newsworthy scene for this week's edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown On FOX.

As noted, Vince McMahon was backstage at the event after missing several WWE television tapings over the past few months as he prepares for the re-launch of the XFL.

In addition to the WWE Chairman, former WWE SmackDown General Manager and Total Divas cast member Paige was backstage at the blue brand show this week.

Also behind-the-scenes at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. for WWE Friday Night SmackDown On FOX this week was the newly-signed WWE creative team member Chris DeJoseph.

DeJoseph was backstage at the WWE TLC 2019 pay-per-view at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota this past Sunday night, but was not at the follow-up episode of WWE RAW at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa.

With him appearing at the PPV and the blue brand show, but not the red brand show, the general consensus is that DeJoseph will be part of the WWE SmackDown creative team.
