WWE Raw Preview (12/23): Des Moines, IA. (Non-Spoiler)

WWE returns with their Christmas-week episode of WWE Raw tonight, which is a taped show once again coming from the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa, the site of last week's live show.

WWE.com released the following preview for tonight's show:

WWE Raw preview, Dec. 23, 2019: Rollins challenges Mysterio in bid for dominance

Seth Rollins challenges Rey Mysterio for the United States Championship, live tonight at 8/7 C on USA Network.

Rey Mysterio to defend the United States Championship against Seth Rollins on tonight's Raw

A Gauntlet Match intended to determine Rey Mysterio's next challenger never quite ended on Raw, and Seth Rollins and AOP attacked the United States Champion in the wake of the contest's chaotic resolution. It was all part of The Architect's plan to "establish dominance" and face Mysterio for the title himself.

Like he often does, Rollins got what he wanted. Despite Mysterio's desire to face Andrade (who viciously assaulted rising star Humberto Carrillo during the Gauntlet Match and caused him to be stretchered out of the arena), Rey accepted Rollins' challenge instead, setting up a first-time match. It is sure to be a grueling title defense for The Master of the 619, and it may well mark the start of Rollins' first title reign since aligning with AOP the first, perhaps, of many?

Randy Orton & Raw Tag Team Champions The Viking Raiders to battle The O.C. tonight on Raw

As confirmed on today's edition of WWE's The Bump, Randy Orton & Raw Tag Team Champions The Viking Raiders will take on The O.C. tonight on Raw.

The Viper will certainly be out for retribution for the heinous attack he suffered at the hands of The O.C. after his win over AJ Styles at the close of last week's Raw. Despite Erik & Ivar attempting to help even the odds, The O.C. stood tall, leaving Orton and The Viking Raiders reeling a rare sight to behold.

What will unfold when these trios collide on this must-see episode? Tune in tonight at 8/7 C on USA Network.
