After picking up his first official victory inside a WWE ring, former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez spoke backstage at the CDMX Arena in Mexico City, Mexico following the WWE Supershow live event on Saturday night.
Cain Velasquez spoke to WWE following his match at the WWE Supershow at the CDMX Arena in Mexico City, Mexico on Saturday night, which saw the former UFC Heavyweight Champion turned WWE Superstar earn his first WWE victory in tag-team action, as he and Humberto Carrillo defeated The O.C.'s Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows.
Velasquez thanked the fans in Mexico for supporting him throughout his UFC career and now his pro wrestling career. He claims to have the best fans in the world.
"For me, it's always a blessing to come here to Mexico -- whether I'm competing or just doing whatever," said Velasquez. "I think the people and the fans here are the best, the most die-hard fans I've had from my MMA career and now my WWE career."
He continued, "To come here and perform in front of them, which I've done a couple times, I always feel great coming here and doing that for the fans who have always been behind me since day one."
