Seth Rollins may have stepped in it with WWE management after referencing CM Punk on this past Monday night's episode of WWE Raw.
According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio at F4WOnline.com, Vince McMahon was "furious" backstage at Seth Rollins referencing CM Punk in his opening promo on Monday's Raw, leading to a significant chant for Punk.
Meltzer noted that Vince's "rule" is that talent is not allowed to push the idea of a match on TV that they are not able to deliver.
Additionally it was said that there's a possibility that there was some sort of "secret" agreement between Rollins and Vince where Vince would pretend to act upset backstage in front of everyone but in reality have approved Rollins' comments beforehand.
Despite the talk, that does not appear to be the case, as from all accounts it appears Rollins went into business for himself and as a result, Vince was legitimately upset.
