Though originally featured in promotional material for the Crown Jewel 2019 pay-per-view and being listed with the other Superstars and Legends appearing, it now seems The Undertaker will be left at home when WWE travels to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia later this month.
The Deadman worked the last three events in Saudi Arabia, becoming an almost regular fixture at the events including his defeat over Rusev at the WWE Greatest Royal Rumble show in April, his tag team with Kane in a loss to WWE Hall of Famers Triple H and Shawn Michaels in November 2018, and earlier this year at WWE Super ShowDown where he defeated WWE Hall Of Famer Bill Goldberg.
However the last time The Phenom was seen on WWE programming was at the Extreme Rules PPV in July, where he teamed up with Roman Reigns to beat Drew McIntyre and Shane McMahon, leaving some to speculate as to when he will return.
Due to personal reasons, mostly surrounding controversies in Saudi Arabia, some of the WWE Superstars have chose not to participate in events being held in the region.
Earlier this year both Daniel Bryan and Kevin Owens refused to work WWE Super ShowDown, and currently neither are scheduled at this point for WWE Crown Jewel either.
Though it is unknown when John Cena will return to the WWE ring, it doesn't look to be at Crown Jewel, in Saudia Arabia where he has also refused to work previous WWE events.
WWE Crown Jewel 2019 takes place on Thursday, October 31st from the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Make sure to join us here at DailyWrestlingNews.com on 10/31 for LIVE WWE Crown Jewel Results coverage!
