Joey Janela Says The WWE NXT TV Show Is "Kinda Stale"

AEW Dynamite premieres tonight on TNT. One of their signature young talents, Joey Janela, spoke to Wrestling Inc. about AEW Dynamite running head-to-head with NXT and if there is a war between the two brands.

"I think it's gonna be competitive. I don't think it's a war per se yet," stated Janela. "I watched the [NXT] premiere a few weeks ago and it was okay. I don't watch NXT and haven't watched it in two years. There were other reasons I wanted to watch it as well *cough cough* Lio Rush who I wanted to see f--k up or not. But he did great. Besides that it was kinda stale."

Janela noted that while the NXT TV shows have been stale, the Takeover specials are another story.

"Their PPVs are spectacular; they're big Saturday shows are great," Janela admitted. "I think it's gonna be competitive and I think NXT knows what they're doing. But AEW knows what they're doing as well. So we'll see what happens."

Janela also said that he might be the AEW talent to take shots at WWE during AEW's programming. You can check out the full interview at Wrestling Inc. by clicking here.
