WWE hired former Impact Wrestling announcer McKenzie Mitchell and former House of Hardcore announcer Matt Camp this week.
Mitchell noted in her WWE signing tweet that she was going to be working as an on-air host. Camp made a similar tweet.
Mitchell was hired by former Impact President Dixie Carter in 2016 and worked as a backstage interviewer, and worked on managing Knockouts photo shoots. She never made it to announcing matches but PWInsider reports that she received praise after calling indie matches earlier this year.
In addition to work for Tommy Dreamer's HOH promotion, Camp has worked for Bleacher Report and Sirius XM.

My first @WWE event was 2/23/92 in @TheGarden.— Matt Camp (@TheMattCamp) September 11, 2019
Appropriately enough, this is my first week as an on-air host/digital talent for WWE.
Thanks to everyone who supported me along the way. pic.twitter.com/rCBOuGlaH4
