In a change of plans, the WWE Network will air the second hour of the September 18 and September 25 NXT episodes on the USA Network.
It was previously announced that NXT will premiere on the USA Network on Wednesday, September 18, live from 8-10pm ET. WWE announced today that the first hour of those shows will air on USA, from 8-9pm, but the second hour will air live on the WWE Network, from 9-10pm.
The first episode that will see both hours air live on USA is the October 2 show, which is the same week that AEW's TNT show premieres live in the same timeslot. Both hours will air only on the USA Network from that week on, and the weekly NXT TV episode will then be available on the WWE Network 24 hours later on Thursdays.
It was previously reported that two matches have been confirmed for the September 18 NXT show - Roderick Strong vs. NXT North American Champion The Velveteen Dream with the title on the line, and a Triple Threat with Mia Yim vs. Bianca Belair vs. Io Shirai to crown a new #1 contender to NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler for a later date.
