WWE took extra steps to make sure Luke Harper's return at Clash of Champions stayed a secret, according to PWInsider. Harper, who returned to help Erick Rowan defeat Roman Reigns in the No DQ match, was kept off the booking format sheet and was not brought out into the open until right before Rowan vs. Reigns began.
Regarding his name, the WWE roster now lists Harper by his full name once again. The same change was recently made with Rowan. They had been using just their last names since being put back together as The Bludgeon Brothers last year.
It looks like Harper's return was a late decision as Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Harper received the return call on Friday. WWE apparently brought Harper back now because they needed a tag team partner for Rowan. Meltzer reported that the current plan, likely for the WWE Hell In a Cell PPV on October 6, is for Rowan and Harper to face Reigns and Daniel Bryan in a tag team match.
In other news for Hell In a Cell, Meltzer reports that the current plan for both Cell matches is to do Sasha Banks vs. RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch, and "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt vs. WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins.
Sunday's Clash of Champions PPV saw The Fiend attack Rollins to close the show. Earlier in the night Lynch retained her title over Banks, but Banks won by DQ due to Lynch accidentally hitting the referee with a chair shot.
WWE Hell In a Cell takes place on October 6 from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, CA.
