The official AEW Twitter account noted today that the case of the stolen World Title belt has been solved.
As noted earlier today, the Tallahassee Police Department posted a photo of the recovered title and tagged champion Chris Jericho, who allegedly had the title stolen while eating dinner at a Longhorn Steakhouse on Sunday. TPD quickly deleted that photo and told local media that the investigation was still open and active.
AEW took to Twitter a few hours after the TPD Facebook photo was deleted, and thanked the department.
AEW wrote, "Case solved .. thank you @TallyPD"
The AEW post included a screenshot of the deleted Facebook photo from TPD.
The caption on the deleted Facebook photo said, "Chris Jericho we have something that belongs to you. Celebrate with #ALittleBitOfTheBubbly. (responsibly of course)! More information to follow. #foundit #championshipbelt"
